To the Brave Men who walk to San Antonio, Godspeed. I am moved to tears while I type this message you are a rare and few Americans who still know what it is to excercise your rights to ask for what is a fundamental right for all. I sit in awe of what you are doing, what you have done and what you have been through. I am a 32 year old mother of two and I tell them everyday of the struggles of all soldiers in the U.S., but especially of the unique struggle of the Mexican American Soldiers who are proud of where they live and where they came from but who have endured a special kind of struggle because of race. I am proud more than ever to be a Mexicana Americana when I see you all and what you are doing. I support you and I pray for you and I am glad that officials in San Antonio are allowing you through.
Again, Godspeed.

One more thing.
To Mr. Pena,
It would help if the valley leaders would agree to not dispute in what valley city a Veterans hospital should be. The more we quarrel the less that is accomplished. There is enough war and fighting in the world already. Just get the Veterans the hospital right now. Thanks. EVB
