The Cold Front Makes It's Way Through Deep South Texas

I took the photo you see here at the University of Texas--Pan American in my hometown of Edinburg on Christmas Day last year. In my lifetime I can recall it snowing only three times in the Valley. Two of the times lasted but a few seconds and consisted of a few snow flakes. By far the snow fall from last year was the most we had seen in my town.

The Artic front that is bringing freezing temperatures across Texas blew through just a few moments ago. Although we are not likely to see snow, we will see temperatures in the 30's tomorrow. That's pretty cold for an area that has seen temperatures in the 70's and 80's for the last few weeks.

Texans get those coats out of the back of the closet. You will need them tomorrow.
