
I was pleased to read that Lawmakers has declared this blog as this nation's leader blog maintained by a public official.

For some time now, Lawmakers has a declared objective to get every public official to not only blog but to do so effectively. Here is the description the Lawmakers has of itself:
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this blog for the United States of America.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that every elected official should blog for the people every day, that every lawmaker in America should file a report on their blog for the people every day, that every legislator should have a blog with reader comments and use that blog to report to the people every day.
The goal of this blog is to get every legislator in every state in the United States of America to blog for the people every day.
Rules: Blogger must use blogging software. New posts must come in at the top. All posts must be day and time stamped. All posts must have permalinks. All posts must allow uncensored reader comments. Blog must have picture of blogger, contact information of blogger, and link to bloggers official website. Blogger must make minimum of one post 5 days per week, Monday thru Friday, 365 days per year."
We here at A Capitol Blog share the same objectives as Lawmakers, namely to get every legislator or public official engaged in communicating with his or her constituents via this most democratic of all mediums. In our experience we have simply failed to see the downside of this form of communication. In fact, we welcome the work of many new consultants who share our view of blogging and who have encouraged new candidates into the medium.
I want to thank Lawmakers for the recognition and encouragement. I want to personally and publicly reaffirm my efforts in this area and look forward with anticipation when all public officials are similarly engaged.

"declares" permalink goes to the wrong post. At the Lawmakers blog the permalinks are at the top of the post not at the bottom of the post. Here's the permalink that you wanted. Thanks for blogging and keep up the good work.
