Poor Schools Ask High Court to Retry School Facilities Issue

The Supreme Court agreed late last month that the way Texas pays for its schools is unconstitutional, but it did not agree that poor and wealthy school districts have unequal access to similar facilities funding.

This shocked many of us who are familiar with the disparity between schools in facilities funding. I applaud these efforts to have the issue retried. Although I do not expect any affirmative relief from this court, at this time. The request will highlight the disparities that concern many of us.
