Rep. Guillen Filed For Re-Election This Morning in Austin

I finished up the work I had to do here in Central Texas. Before I start for home to file for re-election, I joined my colleague, Rep. Ryan Guillen as he filed for re-election at the State Democratic Party office. This what you have to do in Texas when your district has multiple counties. We are not expecting an opponent for Rep. Guillen, but you can never be quite sure.

My district, District 40, is all contained in Hidalgo County, so I must head South to the Democratic homeland in order to file. I'll be in the Hidalgo County Party Chairman's office at 9 o'clock sharp in the morning.

Rep. Guillen and I picked up an extra rider from the Christmas lighting ceremony. He said he had work to do in South Texas.
