After 47 years of bringing together business leaders, community activists and political movers and shakers of both political parties, the Tripa Club is closing its doors.
The last meeting of the Tripa Club will be held on February 23 at 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Palmer Pavillion in McAllen, Texas, Hackberry and McColl.
Marc Geller over at the Monitor does an extraordinary job of giving the institution its due. I recommend the story to political junkies of every stripe. I look forward to seeing you there as we say good-bye to the South Texas political organization. Our thanks and appreciation to Jesse Trevino for four decades of fun.
