Elected Officials Communicating With Blogs

I'm being called out of town again real soon, this time to Washington D.C. Seems as though our last presentation in Seattle on the power of the internet and blogging touched a nerve with a number of elected officials. So by popular demand I have been asked to give another presentation in Washington D.C. on how state elected officials can use blogging to communicate with constituents.

The National Conference of State Legislatures, an organization of legislators from around the country serves to educate and share information on a variety of policy issues. For example, if you have a problem with school finance in Texas well you can see and learn what legislators are doing in other states to solve the problem. Like my other presentations in California or in Seattle my time is donated but I feel it is all worth it as we assist in bringing forward a closer relationship between elected officials and the citizens they represent. Not a bad time to take in the cherry blossoms either.

I note that also on the conference agenda to speak is New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is supposed to outline the Senate Democratic perspective on the 2006 congressional agenda. I'll give you a report on what she has to share with the conference attendee's.
