Well election day is up this Tuesday. All the hard work by candidates and their supporters must come to an end, at least for the primary. On Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. KURV Talk Radio 710 (AM) does their acclaimed election analysis covering the races from South Texas as well as races around the state. The wife has assured me that she will vote for me, "this go round," so without an opponent I am free to do election coverage on the radio as I have done in previous years. Joining me and Sergio Sanchez in the headquarters will be fellow blogger, Shaine Mata of RGV Life. Davis Rankin will report from the field.
Since I was a kid I've always enjoyed listening to the political returns on KURV. I can remember sitting in the pickup truck out in the ranchlands listening to the radio when exciting races like the Othal Brand vs. Dr. Ramiro Casso race for mayor were analyzed. I don't know why I've had such an interest in politics, maybe growing up in the politically turbulent 60's, would explain it. Regardless of the reason this is always great fun.
KURV Radio has always been there for Valley audiences and I'm always proud and excited when they ask me to participate. This is the first time in my memory that political bloggers have been allowed to participate in the analysis. Who knows maybe Shaine can live-blog from the radio station.I'm sure we will have a good time. So if your in the South Texas region tune to 710 on your AM dial at 7:00 p.m for election results and analysis.

Here in the republic your work Rep. is very much appreciated. We will all be listening to the program. I was present for one of your recent talks at the university on the school finance debate. We in our group appreciate your appearance.
