2006 Trash Bash

Got up this morning to join the young people working hard to beautify our city. It's called the Trash Bash. I very much enjoyed last years event. The young ladies from Brownie Troop 25 accompanied me last go round and they asked me if I would join them again as we pick up trash around the center of our town.

As noted on their website, "the City of Edinburg Trash Bash brings volunteers from the community together to clean city streets, parks, drainage ditches and alleys. This event provides the opportunity to increase public awareness on litter reduction, recycling and solid waste management." The City of Edinburg holds the event in conjunction with Valley Proud Environmental Council promoting the Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful annual Great American Clean-Up.
