Sign Sign Everywhere a Sign

"Sign Sign everywhere a sign
Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign"

"Can't you read the sign" - that's the statement of the last couple of days for the members of the Texas House of Representatives. I fully expect more today or in the near future as the various candidates for the Speaker position try to persuade the other members of their eventual success. Perception can become reality and so the "signs" they are a flyin'.

I realize that I have a front row seat to the internal machinations of this historic race, and boy could I tell you a tale or two, but my respect for the membership and our confidences suggests that I exercise discretion. All I can say is that after you hear the spin please verify. As it stands now, I can tell you there are reportedly a number of representatives that have pledged their support to multiple candidates. With time, representatives will be compelled off the fence to make a decision and those votes will be appropriately measured.

History and Capitol Annex suggest that more likely than not the three Republican candidates will be whittled down to one before the vote is taken. Without revealing more, I dare say that the process is already occurring as I type this entry.

My commitment is to the people I represent and to the cause which brought me to this endeavor. With time I will be a bit more forthcoming. As this wonderful exercise of democracy spends it's course let us be reminded of that which binds us together as Texans. Win or lose, we are all stronger because of it.

Hey Aaron. Loved your sign, sign everywhere a sign video. Is there a better conservative running for speaker than the speaker? EZ
