On Wednesday Mikal Watts visited Valley Democrats in his exploration of a run against United States Senator John Cornyn. Events took place in Brownsville, Pharr (shown) and Edinburg. He is expected to receive competition from Rep. Rick Noreiga in the Democratic primary. Both are considering a race against the U.S. Senator who in recent months has seen a decline in some political polls.
