On Friday I attended the ceremonial open house dedication of the new 92-bed Hidalgo County Substance Treatment Facility. The event was covered by the Rio Grande Guardian.
The open house, was sponsored by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, which funds the facility, the Hidalgo County Board of Judges, Hidalgo County Commissioners Court, and the Adult Probation Department. I am shown here with our local district judges: Rose Reyna, Israel Ramon, Letty Lopez, Juan Partida, Mario Ramirez, Ricardo Rodriguez and Bobby Flores. Also present were Sen. Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa, D-McAllen, and Hidalgo County Judge J.D. Salinas.
