EDINBURG’S HEALTHY LIVING FESTIVAL

Now I mentioned in my last two posts (here and here) about a Walk to Work event planned on April 3, 2009 in the City of Edinburg. Here is the latest event information I was able to obtain from my brother and his wife Michelle.

The event is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to address goals included in the US Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Agreement which was adopted by the City of Edinburg on July 15, 2008. These include creating a compact, walkable urban community and promoting transportation options such as bicycle lanes and trails.

The event is planned as informational, tabling event at which citizens will be provided with various information supporting these activities and issues in the community.
