San Antonio State Senator Leticia Van de Putte will be honored today at a noontime gathering of the Rio Grande Valley's Dress for Success organization. She will be joined by two other recipients: Dora Brown of IBC Bank and Yvonne Gonzalez of Workforce Solutions.
The three women will be given the organization's Legend of Success award for their commitment to the mission of the organization.
The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
Today's event begins at 11:30 a.m. at the McAllen Country Club in McAllen, Texas. Tickets will be available at the door.
